Welcome to The Ivy Room. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (www.theivyroom.co.za), our web application (app.theivyroom.co.za), and all services provided through our Pilates studio and digital platform.

By using our services, booking a class, creating an account, or accessing the app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or attend classes.

• By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Accounts and Registration

• To book classes or purchase memberships, you must create an account through our app.

• You may register using your email and password, or sign in with Google.

• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Memberships, Packages, and Payments

• All purchases (drop-ins, passes, memberships) are subject to the policies listed on our Studio Policies page.

• Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and may be updated from time to time.

• Payments are processed securely through approved third-party providers (such as Paystack).

• By completing a purchase on The Ivy Room app or website, you authorize The Ivy Room to securely store a payment authorization token issued by our payment provider, Paystack. This token allows us to charge the same payment method for future purchases that you initiate (for example, class packages or renewals). You may withdraw this authorization and delete saved payment methods at any time in your account settings. No full card information is stored by us, and all transactions are processed securely through Paystack in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

4. Bookings and Cancellations

• Bookings must be made in advance via the app.

• Cancellation rules, validity of passes, and refund conditions are outlined in our Studio Policies.

• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes at our discretion (e.g., instructor illness, emergencies).

5. Use of the App

• You may use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

• We may suspend or terminate access if you misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, or violate any policies.

6. Privacy and Data

• Your use of the app is also governed by our App Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.

• When you sign in with Google, we only access your name and email address to create your member profile.

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

7. Health and Safety

• Participation in classes is at your own risk.

• You must ensure you are medically fit for physical activity.

• Please inform instructors of any injuries, conditions, or pregnancy before class.

8. Liability Disclaimer

• The Ivy Room is not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during participation in our classes or while using our facilities, except where required by law.

• By attending classes, you accept responsibility for your own health and safety.

9. Intellectual Property

• All content on our website and app (logos, text, graphics, videos, designs) is the property of The Ivy Room and may not be copied or distributed without permission.

10. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.

• You may stop using the app at any time and request deletion of your data (see our Privacy Policy for details).

11. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time.

• Updated versions will be posted at theivyroom.co.za/terms-of-service with a new “Effective Date.”

12. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

• Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Cape Town.
