The Ivy Room Liability Waiver & Informed Consent

By electronically signing or clicking “Accept,” I acknowledge that this waiver constitutes a legally binding agreement between myself and The Ivy Room (Pty) Ltd. I understand that my digital acceptance carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature and confirms my full understanding and agreement to the terms outlined below.

1. Acknowledgment of Risk
I understand that participation in Pilates and related sessions at The Ivy Room involves physical activity that may carry a risk of injury. I confirm that I am voluntarily engaging in these sessions and assume full responsibility for any risks or injuries that may occur.

2. Health Declaration
I affirm that I am physically able to participate in Pilates classes and have consulted with a medical professional if necessary. I agree to inform the instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations prior to each session.

3. Release of Liability
I release The Ivy Room, its instructors, staff, and affiliates from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses that may arise from participation in studio activities, except in cases of proven gross negligence.

4. Use of Equipment
I agree to use all Pilates equipment responsibly and follow instructor guidance. I understand that misuse may result in injury and accept responsibility for any damage caused by improper use.

5. Studio Policies
I acknowledge and agree to abide by The Ivy Room’s studio policies, including booking and cancellation terms, credit usage, and health & safety procedures. I understand that failure to comply may result in denied access or additional charges.

6. Consent to Treatment
In the event of an emergency, I authorize The Ivy Room staff to seek medical assistance on my behalf.

7. Media Release (Optional)
I consent to the use of photos or videos taken during sessions for The Ivy Room’s promotional purposes, unless I opt out in writing.

8. Intellectual Property
I acknowledge that all content, branding, and materials provided by The Ivy Room — including class formats, written communications, and digital resources — are protected under copyright law. I agree not to reproduce, distribute, or modify any such materials without prior written consent.
